Saturday, 27th Dec 2014: An AirAsia Flight carrying 162 people on the way from Indonesia to Singapore disappeared. It’s a third air incident in this route. As the Indonesia’s search and rescue agency said the plane is likely to be at the bottom of the sea. According to the rescue agency the overall scenario tells that the reason behind disappearing of the flight may be a crash.

The last communication between the cockpit and air traffic control was at 6:13 a.m. (23:13 GMT Saturday), when one of the pilots asked to increase altitude from 32,000 feet (9,754 meters) to 38,000 feet (11,582 meters) as the weather was really bad. The jet was last seen on radar at 6:16 a.m. and was gone a minute later.

In a conference, National Search and Rescue Chief Henry Bambang Soelistyo said “Based on the coordinates that we know, the evaluation would be that any estimated crash position is in the sea, and that the hypothesis is the plane is at the bottom of the sea”

The search is still continuing with 12 navy ships, five planes and three helicopters and a number of warships, but they did not get any clue about missing 162 people who was travelling in that plane yet.

A few hours ago many of the relatives were seemed to be very anxious, stuck to their phones, perhaps trying to find any news of the plane or stay in touch with friends and loved ones

But more than 12 hours since the plane took off they are looking increasingly worried. Officials still have no idea what happened to the aircraft.

The governor of East Java, Soekarwo, the mayor of Surabaya, Tri Rismaharini, and the chief executive of AirAsia, Tony Fernandes, have come to console to relatives of passengers and they assured them that all is being done to locate the missing Airbus.

We all should pray for the safety of missing passenger and may the rescue agency find them very soon!
