Lyonchhen Tshering TobgayBhutan PM Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay visited India along with his wife Aum Tashi Doma, Foreign Minister Rinzin Dorji and Economic Affairs Minister Norbu Wangchuk from 10 January to 18 January 2015

He met India’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi and held wide-ranging discussions on bilateral relations as well as on regional and international issues of mutual interest and concern.

He also met President of India Pranab Mukherjee, Union Minister of Home Affairs -Rajnath Singh, Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj, Union Minister of Finance Arun Jaitley, Chief Minister of Gujarat Anandiben Patel and many other leaders.

Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay & Narendra Modi agreed that cooperation in the field of hydropower was mutually beneficial and a win-win situation for both countries.

They reiterated their commitment to the 10000 MW hydro power plant initiatives and also committed for early implementation of the four JV-model projects, totaling 2120 MW.
