The Indian Institute of Management is likely to be established at Bodh Gaya, Bihar. State education minister Brishen Patel announced that “An IIM will come up in Gaya has ended the seven-month-long uncertainty and brought cheers to Gayaites.”
The seven month brawl between the Centre and the State Government over a suitable site for the opening an IIM in Bihar has ended now. Union HRD Minister Smiriti Irani has approved the proposal of IIM opening in Bihar.
After returning to Bihar from New Delhi, Brishen Patel said “Considering my request at the education minister’s conference in New Delhi on Tuesday, Union HRD minister Smriti Zubin Irani categorically assured us that the proposed IIM for Bihar will be established at Bodh Gaya.” He continued by saying “She also assured me that her ministry would soon direct the IIM-Indore to start working as mentor so that the process of setting up an IIM at Bodh Gaya is expedited.”
The establishment of Indian Institute of Management in Bodh Gaya, Bihar may bring many opporutinites to Gayaites.
