The Centre for Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (CAOS) was established in 1982 under the chairmanship of Prof. Roddam Narasimha. This became the Centre for Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences in 1996. The centre has received generous support from the Department of Ocean Development, the Department of Space, the Department of Science and Technology, the University Grants Commission and the Ministry of Human Resources Development.


Job Details

Post Name – Project Trainee/Project Assistant

No. of vacancies – Eighteen (18)

Salary – Rs. 15000/-

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification – BSc or 3-year Diploma in Engineering.

Desirable – Experience in radiosonde operations


Post Name – Junior Research Officer (JRF)

No. of vacancies – Three (3)

Salary – Rs. 25,000/- + 30% HRA

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: –

BE/B.Tech (CS/ IT/ ECE/ Electrical)/MCA/MSc (Physics/ Meteorology/ Atmospheric Science/ Mathematics/ Electronics/ Statistics)

Qualification in any national level test such as CSIR-UGC, GATE, JEST, etc.


M.Tech in Meteorology/Atmospheric Sciences.
