As per the latest announcements, IIM Ahmedabad, the convener of CAT 2015 has declared that the exam this year will be administered only on one day with two sessions.
The Common Admission Test which usually held over a week, now will be held only on one day, with two sessions. Last year, too, the testing period was reduced to two days with four sessions.
Moreover, the exam centres has also been increased to 115 from last year’s 99.
The organization also announced that women candidates will be allotted test centres nearby their locations.
Why the test will be conducted on a single day?
To enhance the operational efficiency and of test content and pattern, the decision of conducting exam in a single day was made.
With this single-day test, the scoring and controversial normalization of marks will become easier and transparent while the difficulty level will be the same.
