CBSE UGC NET Results Jan 2017 Declaration Procedure! Know How the Cutoffs are decided?
The CBSE UGC NET Result and Cutoff Declaration Process comprises of following steps –
Step I: Minimum marks to be obtained in NET for considering a candidate for the award of JRF and eligibility for Assistant Professor:
The candidates are required to obtain minimum marks separately in Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper –III as given below:

Step II: Amongst those candidates who have cleared step I, a merit list will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks of all the three papers secured by such candidates.
Step III: Top 15% candidates (for each subject and category), from the merit list mentioned under step II, will be declared NET qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor only.
Step IV: A separate merit list for the award of JRF will be prepared from amongst the NET qualified candidates figuring in the merit list prepared under step III by using the formula mentioned below:-
|No. of slots under General (UR) category for JRF in a subject =||No. of candidates who have opted for JRF and are qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor in that subject X No. of slots available under General (UR) category
Total No. of General (UR) candidates who have opted for JRF and are qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor.
The similar formula will be used for OBC/SC/ST category and all the subjects.
How to Check/Download CBSE UGC NET Jan 2017 Result? [Step by Step Procedure]
As soon as the official website will declare the CBSE UGC NET Result, you can check out with the step by step procedure given below –
Step-1: Click on the following link – http://cbseresults.nic.in/UGC/net_jan2017.htm
Step-2: After clicking on the above link you’ll land on the UGC NET Result Page. (Link will be activated after the Result Declaration only)
Step-3: On the Result Page of UGC NET Exam Jan 2017, you will have to enter all the required details like – Roll Number and Date of Birth.
The entered detail should be accurate!
Step-4: Now click on the Submit Button.
Step-5: As soon as you click on submit button, you will be able to see your Result for CBSE NET Jan 2017 on the screen.
Step-6: Download it and also take a print out for the same.

What is the procedure to claim CBSE UGC NET Jan 2017 Result?
After the UGC NET Jan 2017 Result Declaration, those who found not to be satisfied with the given marks and score card may claim their CBSE UGC NET Answer Keys and send a request to the Director, NET Unit, CBSE, H-149, Sector – 63, Noida – 201309, Distt. Gautam Budh Nagar (UP).
The request should stand with proof from standard books/literature along with a Demand Draft of INR 5000/- drawn in favour of Secretary CBSE (payble at Delhi/Noida).
The claim request would be made within the 1 month of Result declaration. If any candidate sends his/her Result Claim Request after the last date, then his/her request will be canceled by the exam authorities.
Valid requests in all respects will be placed before the expert committee for the re-examination of the answer key(s). In case the answer(s) is /are found to be incorrect, CBSE will process the result in the light of changed key(s ) and qualify the additional candidates for JRF and/or eligibility for Assistant Professor without changing the result of candidates qualified provisionally as per this notification.

The candidates may send a Demand Draft to the official address. The DD should be of INR 500, drawn in favor of Secretary, CBSE payable at Delhi/New Delhi issued by any scheduled bank.
The candidates should mention their Roll No., Name & Address correctly in their application. The Roll Number & Name should also be mentioned on the backside of the Demand Draft.
