IGCAR was established in the year 1971, under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. The centre is engaged in broad based multidisciplinary programme of scientific research and advanced engineering directed towards the development of Fast Breeder Reactor technology.

Civil Engineering: Two (2)

Chemical Engineering: Two (2)

Mechanical Engineering: One (1)

Electrical Engineering: Two (2)


Salary – Rs. 15600 – Rs. 39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5400


Eligibility Criteria:


Educational Qualification – B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Mechanical

Engineering / Electrical Engineering (including Electrical & Electronics

Engineering) with minimum 60% mark.


Age Limit – Maximum 26 years

Selection Process

The recruitment shall comprise of two stages – Written Examination followed by Personal Interview. The written examination shall be in the respective subject in the form of an objective type paper. Only those candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for personal interview.
