Indian Institute of Management-Tiruchirappalli (IIM-T) has announced 100% placement in its present batch.
As per the official announcement, all the 103 students (amongst 106 students) who registered for final placements has got placed in good companies with marginally higher average salaries than last year. Even three students got multiple offers.
In all, 103 recruiters visited the campus as against 76 companies last year.
The placement Officer of IIM-T said in a statement “Our biggest efforts this time was to match students’ interests with the recruiters and job profiles and we have been able to satisfy majority of our students”.
IIM–T’s Highest Salary Packages in 2015
INR 19.50 lakhs was the highest package of IIM-T this year.
The highest package of last year was of INR 19.25 lakh.
The institute said that the number of offers at the higher band exceeded last year’s numbers.
At the lower end, the minimum salary package witnessed a 20% increase from last year and ended at INR 7.5 lakh. The median annual compensation levels continued to be around INR 11 lakh.
In previous years, recruiters like – Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Berger Paints, Dabur, Decathlon, HCL, ICICI Bank, KPMG and Mahindra returned to the campus to make offers. And this year, 26 first-time recruiters visited the campus during the placement season and made 56 job offers.
The new recruiters included this year was – ANZ, Aspire IT Systems, BIG FM (Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd), CCD Beverages, CRISIL, Dun & Bradstreet, Housing.com, ICICI Prudential, Indus Valley Partners, Murugappa Group and Muthoot Home Fin India among others. Housing.com, Greenway Appliances, IQR Analytics and Aryaka Networks etc.
As per IIM-T, three students opted out of the campus placement process this year. One of the students, who was on a sabbatical, returned to the previous employer, while the second joined family business, and the third decided to seek opportunities through personal network. The placement season also saw 18 students obtaining pre-placement job offers (PPO’s) on the strength of their performance in the summer internships.
