The National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) and the Telangana government today jointly announced Hyderabad as the venue for the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) scheduled to be held in 2018.
The conference, which is scheduled to be held in the first half of 2018, will be first for the country and second for Asia.
‘Future Enterprises‘ will be the theme set for the conference.
Announcing the details of this global event, NASSCOM president R. Chandrashekhar said the event was being held for the first time in India and it was coming at a time when innovation had become the new hallmark of the Indian software industry.
Around 2500 delegates and top IT compamies from across the world are expected to participate in the event. Representatives from the IT industries, from around 80 countries will take part in the conference.
The global IT industry, representing 90% of the information and communications technology market, will discuss the future of enterprise and its impact on the industry, employees and other stakeholders.
