JNU Recruitment for Professor and Assistant Professor

Jawaharlal Nehru University is seeking experienced and talented candidates for the posts of Professors and Associate Professors. The candidates who have all the qualities which are essential for the organization may apply before 25th May, 2015 as per the application rules.

Posts Offered – Professor and Associate Professors

Educational Qualification – The candidates must have done their UG, PG and PhD in relevant fields and they must have also cleared NET/GATE.

Experience – The candidates must have minimum of ten years’ experience in teaching at University/College Level, and/or research at a University/National level institution, including experience of guiding research at doctoral level.

Desirable Qualification - For direct recruitment of Professor in the University, consolidated API scores of 400 points is required along with other specified eligibility qualifications stipulated in the Regulations 2010.

Selection Procedure

The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performances in Interviews.

Interview Criteria (out of 100 points)

Academic Background – 20%

Research Performance and quality of publications – 40%

Assessment of Domain Knowledge and Teaching Skills – 20%

Interview Performance – 20%.

Pay Scale

For Professor – INR 37400-67000 (PB-4) + AGP INR 10000/-

For Associate Professor – INR 37400-67000 (PB-4) + AGP INR 9,000/-.
