The Iconic Mumbai Dabbawalas have been invited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to join the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’
With a total workforce of 5,500 employees, the dabbawalas are over-whelmed with the announcement. Their excitement had no limits as earlier only renowned celebrities were a part of this cleanliness mission. It’s for the first time common people like them have been made a part of PM’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’. The dabbawalas are so thrilled to be a part of this national cleanliness mission that they have strategize their contribution towards this move by keeping a broom on their cycle and also educating their customers to perform cleanliness at their end.
To begin with the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ they initiated and carried out a cleanliness drive at the Lower Parel station.
Mumbai Dabbawalas highly recognized and appraised work efficiency and strict time management will definitely boost the PM’s nation-wide cleanliness drive.
