National Institute of Immunology New Delhi, Invites Application for the Post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi has invited applications for the post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) under the SERB sponsored project.

The project is entitled as “Elucidating Vitamin B12 Driven Diet-Gene Interactions that Regulated Food Choice and Longevity”.

? Number of Positions – 01 Senior Research Fellow
 

? Essential Qualifications - M.Sc. in any area of Life Science with good academic record with two years of research experience. The candidates should also have qualified any ‘National Level Examination’ (NET), as per DST OM dated 30.01.2019.

? Desirable Qualifications - Candidates must have hands-on experience in C. elegans biology and should have independently handled C. elegans-related projects. Should be able to handle experiments using RNAi, set up genetic crosses and undertake worm cell biology projects. Hands-on-experience in molecular biology (cloning, RNA isolation, quantitative real-time PCR, western blotting is also required.

? Emoluments - Rs. 35,000/- per month plus 24% HRA

? How to Apply –

1. Eligible and interested candidates are required to mail their applications strictly in the prescribed format clearly indicating the name of the project along with their complete C.V., E-mail-ID, fax numbers, telephone numbers to the Investigator of the project Dr. Arnab Mukhopadhyay (Staff Scientist-VI), at email id: arnab@nii.ac.in.
    
2. Applicants have to clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PH and attach documentary proof of the same.
    
3. Names of shortlisted candidate will be called for interview and they are required to submit attested copies of all their certificates and a Demand Draft of Rs 100/- drawn on Canara Bank or Indian Bank payable at Delhi/New Delhi in favor of the Director, NII at the time of interview.

4. SC/ST/PH and Women candidates are exempted from payment of fees, subject to submission of documentary proof.
    
5. Due to outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, the Interview will be held through Skype mode only. Please mention your valid Skype ID while applying for the above position.
