NITAWhat is NIMCET Exam?

NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) is the national level entrance test for admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) courses in National Institutes of Technology (NITs) at – Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Durgapur, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli and Warangal.

National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are Institutes of National Importance and are Centrally Funded Technical Institutes.

The NIMCET Exam 2014 will be held on Sunday, 25th May 2014 between 10.00 A.M and 12.00 noon at various test centers. There will be one question paper containing 120 MCQs (2 hours will be given to solve the question paper). The exam will be held on OMR-sheet (offline mode) in English language only.

NIT Agartala is conducting NIMCET Exam 2014.


NIMCET 2014 Results

The result/ranks of the eligible candidates will be announced on 11-06-2014.

Ranks secured by candidates in the NIMCET-2014 will be made available in the website

No separate RANK Card will be sent to the candidates.

NIMCET Scorecard is valid for one year.

First round of Remote reporting in person Monday 30th June, 2014 to Tuesday 1st July, 2014.
Second round of Allotment/up gradation Friday 4th  July, 2014.
Second round of Remote reporting in person (fresh allotees must report. And allotees whose seats are upgraded need to report only if they wish to modify their option) Monday 7th July, 2014 to Tuesday  8th July, 2014.
Third round of allotment/upgradation Thursday, 10th  July, 2014
Third round of reporting in person at the allotted institute Thursday, 17th July, 2014 to Friday 18th July, 2014.
Surrendering the allotted seats by those who do not wish to join the allotted institute, but wish to participate in final round of allotment. Monday 21th July, 2014 to Tuesday 22nd July, 2014
Announcement of vacant seats Friday, 25th July, 2014
Fresh Choice Filling Saturday, 26th July, 2014 [11.59 p.m.]
Final round of allotment Monday 28th July, 2014.
Final round of reporting at allotted institute Monday 4th August, 2014 to Tuesday 5st August, 2014.
(Optional) Announcement of Spot round of admission by the respective NITs for any vacant seats on their websites 7th August 2014 onwards
