Another good news for Students!
The Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Smriti Irani has doubled the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) Scholarships to 2000 from the existing 1000.
On the occasion of 55th Foundation Day of NCERT, Smriti Irani announced to increase the scholarships that came under NTSE. This decision was taken to enhance the quality of student’s education in India.
Emphasizing on learning outcome in classes and the quality of teaching, the minister said a nation-wide assessment survey would be carried out by NCERT covering every district and every class to find the deficiencies so as to “course correct” accordingly.
The assessment would be done subject wise and emphasis would be laid on classes III, VIII and X. The proper action regarding NCERT Assessment will be taken soon, as announced by HRD Minister.
What is NTSE Scholarship?
NTSE Exam is one of the most prestigious exams in India. The exam is conducted to assess the student’s intellectuality and academic talent.
Every years, lakhs of students appear in exam and 1,000 students are awarded out of which 775 are from un-reserved category. The amount of Scholarship is INR 500/-.
Who are eligible for NTSE?
The Students studying in Class X are eligible to appear for the selection process.
