Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization under Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices.

The Staff Selection Commission has its headquarters at New Delhi. At present, there are seven Regional Offices at Allahabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai, Bangalore and two Sub-Regional Offices at Raipur and Chandigarh.

3. Eligibility Conditions

Educational Qualifications

The candidates should have graduation degree in any discipline passed with good academic record from Indian Government Recognized Institute.

Nationality

A candidate must be either:

A citizen of India, or

A subject of Nepal, or

A subject of Bhutan, or

A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.

A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania ( Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar ), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit

The candidates should age between 21 to 25 years.

4. How to Apply?

The candidates may apply online through the official website of SSC.

Application Fee – INR 100 (No fee for Women Candidates, ST/SC/Ex-Servicemen).

Mode of Payment – Online.

5. Selection Procedure – Written Test.

The written test will be conducted in two papers- paper1 and paper2.

**For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

6. Pay Scale

 Sub-Inspector – INR 9300-34800 + GP INR 4200

 Assistant Sub-Inspector – INR 5200-20200 + GP INR 2800.
