What is the Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Fellowship?
This fellowship program is designed for outstanding Indians who want to pursue their master’s degree from US. The program provides eligibility to take admission for Master’s in selected US colleges and Universities.

The scholarship or fellowship is provided only for selected study fields. Below is the list for all the programs-
Arts and Culture Management including Heritage Conservation and Museum Studies
Higher Education Administration
Urban and Regional Planning
Women’s Studies/Gender Studies.
Who can apply for USIEF Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Fellowships?
Essential Requirements - Studying abroad for Master’s programs is not an easy task. The fellowship requires such candidates who have a leadership potential and are highly dedicated for this programs.
Qualification - The applying candidates must have completed the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree with at least 55%.
Experience - They must have at least three years professional work experience.
What are the Benefits of this Fellowship?
The fellowship will provide the following benefits-
1. J-1 Visa Support.
2. Round-trip economy class air travel from fellow’s home city to the host institution in the U.S.
3. Funding for tuition and fees, living and related costs and Accident and Sickness Program for Exchanges per U.S. Government guidelines.
#USIEF funding may not cover all costs and the scholar may need to supplement grant benefits with other resources.
#The Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Fellowships provide no financial support for dependents.
How to Apply?
The willing and dedicated candidates may submit their applications online.
After doing online submission the candidates are required to send their application form along with study/research objectives, personal statement, curriculum vitae, writing sample, scanned copies of your mark sheets or transcripts and diploma/degree certificates, scanned copies of proof of your work/professional experience, three reference letters, FNMasters Employer’s Endorsement, if employed, scanned copies of test score reports, if applicable, correspondence with U.S. universities and FNMasters applicant annexure.

National interviews of short-listed candidates in Delhi – Aug, 2015
USIEF notifies principal and alternate nominees that they are recommended. Nominees take tests (such as TOEFL and GRE) – September, 2015
USIEF forwards applications of recommended candidates to the U.S. for J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FFSB) approval and placement – Oct, 2015
USIEF notifies finalists – March/April, 2016
Pre-Departure Orientation – May/June, 2016
Pre-academic training in the U.S. (if required) – July/Aug, 2016
Degree program begins – Sep/Oct, 2016.
