1. JEE Advanced Qualification Marks [Required Mains Score]
As per the JEE Advanced 2020 Eligibility Criteria, only the Top 2,50,000 qualified (including all categories) candidates of Mains Exam will be eligible to appear in the JEE Advanced 2020 Exam.
The Qualifying Marks of JEE Advanced 2020 are listed below –
For GEN-EWS Category – 4%
For OBC Category – 27%
For SC Category – 15%
For ST Category – 7.5%
For General Category – 46.5% (OPEN for all others)
For PWD – 5% of each of these 4 Categories

2. Age Criteria for IIT JEE Advanced Eligibility 2020
To fulfill the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2020, the candidates belonging to General/OBC Categories, must not age more than 24 Years that means, they must have born on or after 1st October 1995.
Similarly, in case of ST/SC/PWD candidates, the upper age limit is mentioned as 29 Years which means that they must have born on or after 1st October 1990.
3. Number of Attempts for JEE Advanced 2020
If you’re curious to know how many attempts for JEE Advanced can be availed, then the answer is Maximum 2 Attempts and that too in the consecutive years only.
Like, if you have appeared in 2019 Exam for the 1st time, then only in 2020 you can avail your remaining JEE Advanced attempts.
4. Required JEE Advanced Qualification
The Candidates must have appeared for the 12th Class or equivalent examination for the 1st time in either 2019 or 2020.
However, candidates whose Class XII (or equivalent) examination results for the academic year 2016-17 were declared after June 2017 were eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2019 but there is no conformation for JEE Advanced 2020 for the same.
5. JEE Advanced 2020 Eligibility Criteria for IITs Admissions
There are three conditions in the case of Not Eligibility for JEE Advanced –
(i). The candidates who have been admitted in any IITs.
(ii). The candidates who have accepted the IIT Seat by reporting at a reporting center in the past.
(iii). The candidates whose admissions at IITs were canceled.

(i). Candidates who have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2019 are eligible.
(ii). The candidates who have paid seat acceptance fee but not accepted the seat (by not reporting at any reporting center during joint seat allocation in 2019) are also eligible.
