    Please see attached picture.. answer is half wave plate..

    The answer is half wave plate . See that the amplitude part cahnges from x+iy to x-iy ,this means that after passing through the optical element ,a phase change of π is introduced and a phase change of amount π relates to oath difference of lambda/2 since path difference= (lambda(wavelength)/2π )*phase difference. That is why half wave plate is the answer.
