Documents Required for GATE Application Form 2023

 

Below, you can check the essential documents required to fill the GATE Online Application Form 2023.

Scanned photograph and signature

Valid photo ID authorized by the Indian Government like Aadhar card, passport, Driving license, etc.

The foreign students must carry any one of the valid photo IDs with them.

College ID

Employee ID

You must have a degree certificate/Provisional Certificate/ Course completion certificate.

If you are in the qualifying year must have a copy of the 5th, 6th, or 7th-semester mark sheet.

Candidates in the final year of AMIE have to submit their mark sheet for Section A of AMIE in case of professional equivalent qualifications.

How to Fill GATE 2023 Application Form – Step by Step Procedure

 

To get yourself registered for the 2023 exam, you need to follow 4 easy steps. We have provided you the complete procedure to fill the GATE Exam Form. You can check them below.

 

Step 1 – Procedure for GATE 2023 Registration

 

Enrolling yourself is the first stage to fill the GATE online application form. You can follow the below procedure to register yourself for the 2023 exam.

Visit the official website and click on the GATE 2023 Registration link.

Read all the instructions carefully and select the checkbox to accept the terms & conditions.

After this, click the “Click Here to Proceed” button.

A new GATE Exam 2023 Application form page will appear on the screen.

Now, enter the personal details like name, mother’s name, father’s name, DOB, Address, etc. as asked in the form, and click on the “Submit” button.

Confirm the details and submit the form to complete the GATE 2023 Registration process.

Note – Once you complete the above process, you will get a unique ID on your Email ID and Mobile Number. You will have to use this number to log in to the website to complete the GATE 2023 Application Form process.

 

Step 2 - Fill the GATE 2023 Application Form

 

After completing the GATE 2023 registration process, you have to fill the detailed information to apply online.

Login to the website of GOAPS with enrolment ID and Password.

Enter the personal details, education qualification, subject code, etc.

Now, choose the three exam centres as per your preferences.

After that, verify all the details and click on the “submit” button.

Note - The eligible candidates need to select the paper in which they had completed their graduation/masters. Candidates are advised to fill in their subject preference code carefully.

Step-3 - Upload Scanned Photograph and Signature

 

Once you complete your GATE application form 2023 process, you must upload a scanned photograph and signature.

Following are the dimensions of the photo and signature.

 

 

Step 4: Payment of GATE Exam 2023 Registration

 

Choose the appropriate mode of payment to submit the fee from available options such as Net Banking, Card Payment, or Other Payment Modes.

Type the captcha and click on the "Proceed to Payment" button.

Fill in all the required details and make payment done.

Once you pay the fee, you will get a confirmation message. You should save the form or download the PDF for further use.

How to Recover Registration Number and Password?

 

If you have forgotten your application number or password, follow the procedure below to retrieve them.

Find the “Forgot Enrolment ID or Password?” link and click on it.

 

 

Select the “Request for an OTP" option to reset your password.

Now, enter the mobile number and enrolment ID/ email address and click on the “Reset Password” button.

 

 

After receiving a One Time Password, enter the required details, including enrolment ID, and create a new password.

If you already have an OTP, choose another option and fill all the required details.

 

 

Click on "Save new password" to get your login credentials.

GATE Application Form 2023 Correction

 

While filling the GATE Exam application form 2023, it may be possible that you made some mistakes in your details. The officials provide a chance to correct your information through the correction procedure.

Below, you can check the complete procedure of the 2023 correction form.

Login to the GOAPS website and an option to edit the form.

Now, correct the details in which you made any mistake and click on the submit button to confirm the changes.

After submitting the modified details, you can redirect to the payment page to pay any correction fee.

Changes in subjects and the examination centre (city) are chargeable. You can change them by paying some extra amount.
