How to Fill CSIR NET 2017 Online Application Form?

First of all please visit the official website of CSIR”.


Click on the link “Apply Online”.


CSIR Online Application Form will open.


Fill the CSIR NET online form very carefully with all relevant details asked.


You will need to download Bank Challan Performa. Download it and fill it carefully.


Then deposit requisite fee as explained above.


After filling the complete details, preview and recheck the CSIR Application form 2017.


If you find everything perfect, then hit the “Submit” button.


After CSIR NET online form submission, a system generated Application Number will be assigned to you.


Take printout of submitted CSIR NET application form and also get a photocopy of the same.


Place your recent black & white photograph, and signature at the required places on the hard copy of CSIR NET online application form.


Attach all the important certificates with CSIR form and send along with CSIR marked copy of fee deposited Bank Challan on or before the last date to the following address:

C. Date of Birth



While filling your particulars in the CSIR application form, you need to enter your date of birth.


Make sure you enter the same date which is mentioned in your documents.



D. Relevant certificates and Marks obtained



You need to enter the details of your marks obtained in CSIR online application form. Enter them very carefully.


It is advised to take the certificates and mark sheets with you to avoid any mistake.

You have to affix your black & white passport sized photograph at the required place of the hard copy of the online application form.


Therefore keep your 2-3 black & white passport size photographs with you.



G. CSIR Online Application Fee

For OBC (Non-creamy layer) Rs. 500
For SC/ST/PH/VH candidates Rs. 250



Mode of payment: Bank challan from Indian Bank only / from any other bank through NEFT.


If payment made through NEFT: Take the printout of bank challan and fill in the details. Submit it along with hard copy of CSIR NET form.


Candidates are advised to confirm that their transaction is settled before they carry on with the CSIR Online application process.


If you do CSIR NET online fee payment by any other mode such as IPO / demand draft / money order / CRF stamps, it will not be accepted.


Keep it in your mind that once you pay the fee, it will not be refunded or adjusted for any subsequent examination.



Important Instructions



Important Instruction to be followed for filling CSIR Application Form



You should first of all satisfy yourself by knowing the CSIR Eligibility Criteria that whether you are applicable for applying CSIR online or not.


You should submit only one CSIR online form filled with valid details.


You are advised not to submit dummy applications details with same challan number. If you do the same, it will be treated as a case of “multiple application” and will result in rejection of both the applications.


After filling the complete valid details you should preview the entire CSIR NET online application form before final submission.


You will not be able to make changes in the CSIR NET application form once its final submission has been done.


You should submit the application within 30 minutes, as the session will be expired and you will need to fill the Application Form again.


You should send the CSIR form in the same format as given on the website.


You should not use any other tool as word, excel, etc. to make changes in the downloaded application form regarding its size, font, etc.


The CSIR application form should be directly printed on a4 size paper as per the website specifications.


Only paper clips should be used to attach documents. You should not staple the documents along with CSIR UGC NET online application form.


Photocopy of the hard copy of the submitted CSIR online application should be kept with you for future reference. You will need it for downloading CSIR NET Admit Card.

Step 1: Log on to the official website of CSIR following the link http://csirhrdg.res.in/


Step 2: From the Home page follow the notification “Registration Status NET Exam June-2017”.


Step 3: You can see a page as shown below:

Step 4: Click on “Server” as shown on the page.


Step 5: A page showing “Registration status of candidates for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination” will open.


Step 6: Click on “Applied through On-Line Application”.


Step 7: A page showing “Status of provisionally Registered Candidates” will be opened on your computer screens.


Step 8: Fill the necessary details asked there. And “Submit” it. You can see your status of registering for the exam through the online application.

      No, you cannot make the fee payment through any other mode other than the Bank Challan. It is clearly stated in the official notification – Candidates applying for the Test may deposit their Examination fee, after verifying their eligibility, in any branch of the Indian Bank throughout the country by paying the following fee in cash through bank challan OR through RTGS/NEFT. Please note that Fee submitted by any other mode like money order, demand draft, IPO etc. will be summarily rejected

    Hello Eduncle,
    I need some clarification about the payment of fees for CSIR NET June 2017. I remitted the fees online through NEFT to Indian Bank, West Patel Nagar Branch,New Delhi. Now I am a little confused whether what I did was right. Because the application form need be a sent with a Bank Challan with requires the seal & signature of the depositing bank which is not possible in my case since I have paid it through online NEFT. Or shall I just download the bank challan( given in CSIR site) fill in the details of Online NEFT & then sent it.

      It is clearly defined in the official notification that – Mode of payment of fee is Bank challan from Indian Bank only or from any other bank through NEFT. In case candidates make payment through NEFT they will have to take printout of bank challan and fill in the details and submit it alongwith hard copy of online application. Such candidates should confirm that their transaction is settled before applying online.

      Fee submitted through any other mode viz.IPO, /demand draft/money order/ CRF stamp etc will not be accepted. Fee once paid will neither be adjusted for any subsequent examination nor refunded under any circumstances.

      You are left with no option but to apply again.

        I was informed by the ICICI bank that with NEFT transaction a reference number is generated, but Unique transaction reference (16 alphanumeric digits) is only generated with RTGS transactions.

        Also would like to know in challan which bank name, branch code and branch name of the bank will be used:
        1)Bank from where NEFT done (in my case this is ICICI)
        2)Indian bank, west patel nagar, new Delhi
