CSIR NET Application Form Correction window has been closed on 17th September 2020 which was reopened by NTA on 11th September 2020.
National Testing Agency has closed the online portal to fill CSIR NET Application Form on 10th September 2020. The portal was re-opened on 22nd August 2020 for those candidates who had missed the chance to apply due to the changed circumstances arising out of COVID -19.
After review of answer key, an additional result of the Joint CSIR-UGC Test June 2019 for Life Sciences subject has been released by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research.
CSIR NET 2020 exam will be conducted in the 2nd week of November 2020 as per the HRDG official Tweet. The exact date of examination will be released soon by NTA.
CSIR NET Dec 2019 Certificates have been released by NTA. Candidates now can download it from the official site of CSIR NET.

1. NTA Conducts NET Exam in Online Mode from Dec 2019
As per the official information, National Testing Agency has started to conduct the CSIR NET Exam in online mode.
The revolutionary step has come in effect from December 2019 Exam.
2. NET Now Mandatory for SC Students to Avail Research Scholarship
The NDA government has decided that candidates belonging from Scheduled Caste (SC) need to qualify the National Eligibility Test (NET) in order to apply for MPhil and Ph.D. funding.
Previously candidates simply required masters’ degree to submit a research proposal to apply for MPhil and Ph.D. funding.
3. Stipend of Research Fellowship Increased
After accepting the demand of Research Scholars, HRDG has announced a new stipend amount of scholarships for JRF & SRF.
According to the announcement, JRFs are getting a stipend of INR 31000 per month which is 24% more than the previous fellowship amount of INR 25000 and SRFs are getting stipend of INR 35000 per month, earlier the stipend of SRF was INR 28000 per month.
The last revision in fellowship took placed in October 2014. These revised stipends have been taken effect from 1st January 2019.
4. Odisha Decided to Pay Research Incentive for Non-JRF Scholars
The State Government of Bhubaneshwar has planned to provide an incentive for research in higher education institutes for the brilliant students of Odisha who holds the NET certificate.
Policy guidelines -
OURIIP will provide incentives to the selected scholars for research.
Top CSIR NET Ranker who has not been eligible for JRF will get a research fellowship for doing research in state universities.
Candidate can get INR 15000 P/m as fellowship with INR 25000 P/m as a contingency amount involving laboratory work and INR 15000 without the laboratory work.
Fellowships will be provided for 35 subjects. For each subject, there are only five fellowships out of which two are reserved for girl candidates.
