UGC NET 2024 Notification & Latest Update (June Session)
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched the application process for UGC NET on April 20, 2024, alongside the notification PDF. Those interested in appearing for UGC NET June 2024 session can apply through the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
The NTA has Released UGC NET New exam date for June 2024 on the Official Website. The National Testing Agency and UGC have decided to shift the UGC-NET Re- Exam from 21 August 2024 to 04 September 2024 in CBT Online Mode.
The UGC NET 2024 Examination, Conducted by the NTA has been Cancelled on June 19, 2024 due to concerns "Integrity of Exam Compromised. New exam dates are released by NTA.
Note: This is advance information for the allotment of the city where the examination center will be located, to facilitate the candidates.

UGC NET Eligibility Criteria 2024
The conducting authority of the exam sets some guidelines to appear in the exam known as Eligibility criteria. It is crucial to satisfy these criteria to apply for the exam.
The eligibility for the UGC NET Exam has been decided based on two major factors i.e., education qualification and age limit.
Education Qualification for NET Exam-
♦ If you have completed post-graduation or have enrolled for the master's, you can apply for this exam.
♦ Candidates require 55% percent marks in their Master’s Degree for the General/EWS category and 50% marks for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD/ Transgender.
♦ PhD degree holders can also apply for the UGC NET June 2024 Exam.
Age Limit for UGC NET–
♦ There is no age restriction to appear for the UGC NET Assistant Professor post.
♦ If you want to apply for JRF, your maximum age should be 30 years or less.

UGC provides some relaxation in the upper age limit for UGC NET- JRF aspirants, such as:

Reservation
Reservation Policy of the Government of India applies to NTA UGC According to
this, in the Central Universities and Institutions that are deemed to be Universities, the
reservation of seats shall be as follows:

UGC NET Exam Pattern 2024
The Paper Pattern of June Exam 2024 gives you knowledge about the exam and an understanding of its methodology and marking scheme.
According to the UGC NET Exam Pattern 2024, the test will consist of two papers (paper I & II).
NTA NET Paper 1 is common for all subjects. It is primarily designed to test your Research Aptitude (Research Ethics, Research Methodology, Types of Research, Thesis Writing Application of ICT in Research) and Teaching Aptitude (Methods of Teaching, Nature of Teaching, Factors affecting teaching, Evaluation system, Learner’s characteristics, Teaching aids).
Paper-II is based on the selected subject (the subject you opt for).

Conducting the National Eligibility Test and providing the award of certificates and JRF to the qualified candidates is the responsibility of NTA (previously, the University Grants Commission was responsible for releasing the certificate).
