UGC NET is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) twice a year (i.e., June & December)

Highlights of UGC NET June 2020

The exam will be conducted from 15th June 2020 to 20th June 2020.

Application Process has been started from 16th March 2020 and will end on 16th May 2020.

The examination will be held in a single 3-hour session. There will be no break between Paper 1 & Paper 2.

Exam will be conducted in total 81 subjects.

Mode of Exam will be CBT (Online).

Exam will be held in 225 Exam Cities.

UGC NET Eligibility Criteria 2020


Your eligibility for the exam will be decided on the basis of two major factors i.e. education qualification and age limit.

Aspirants who have completed post-graduation or enrolled for the masters can apply for this exam.

There is no age restriction to appear in UGC NET for Assistant Professor, but if you want to apply for JRF than your age should be 30 years or less.

UGC NET Exam Pattern June 2020


UGC NET Exam Pattern gives you the knowledge about the exam to understand its methodology and marking scheme.

According to UGC NET 2020 Exam Pattern, the test will consist of two papers (Paper I & II).

NTA NET Paper- I is common to all. It will be primarily designed to test the general awareness, comprehension, divergent thinking and reasoning ability of the aspirant.

Query 1 – How many times is UGC NET held in a year?

Ans – NTA conducts the UGC NET Exam twice a year in June and December months.


Query 2 – What are the passing marks of UGC NET 2020?

Ans – You will have to secure minimum qualifying marks in both the papers. The qualifying marks for General category is 40% whereas, 35% marks required by reserved category candidates.


Query 3 – What is the salary of UGC NET qualified lecturer?

Ans – The salary of Assistant Professor varies from INR 67000 to 75000 per month.


Query 4 – How many attempts are allowed for UGC NET?

Ans – For UGC NET JRF, you can apply till 30 years of your age (reservation is available) and there is no age limit for appearing in NET Exam for the post of Assistant Professor.
