CSIR NET Chemical Science Exam – Detailed Study

 

 

CSIR – NET (National Eligibility Test) Chemical Science Exam is conducted to test the eligibility of the candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship (LS) in Chemical Science field.

 

The organizations that are engaged in conducting the exam are the Council for Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) and University Grants Commission. Thus, the exam is also recognized as Joint CSIR-UGC NET Exam.

 

 

 

Note: CSIR-UGC NET Exam is conducted in 5 Subjects; Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Earth Sciences and Physical Sciences.

 

 

Joint CSIR-UGC NET Exam for Chemical Sciences subject is held twice a year in the months of December and June.

 

You will be made aware of the schedules for Chemical Science exam in the months of  March (for June Exam) and September (for December exam).

Scheme of CSIR NET Chemical Science Exam – Syllabus & Exam Pattern

 

 

CSIR NET Chemical Science Paper is divided into three parts; Part ‘A’, Part ‘B’ and Part ‘C’. According to the scheme of the exam, you will be questioned a total of 145 questions, out of which you are required to answer only 75 questions.

 

 

Part-A is common for all the subjects and is based on General Science questions.

 

Part-B will be based on subject-related conventional MCQs.

 

Part-C will contain high-value questions, which test your knowledge about scientific Concepts and their applications.
