    first fill the can 12 lit. then with this can fill 5 lit. can by doing so you get 7lit. of water in 12 lit can. separate this water in 8lit can and add 5lit. water in (which is in 5lit. can) to the trank. doing this again you get 7lit water in 12 lit. can. so at this time you get 7lit water in 8lit.can(1st case), 7lit. water in 12 lit. can and finally 7lit. water in trank.
