The respective years are as follows - 1956-61: The Nehru-Mahalanobis model was the backbone of Second Five Year Plan in India 1966-69: We had to take plan holidays on account of War in 1965 and consequent failure of economic plan. 1978-80: Rolling plan was taken up by the Janata Party government. 1992 onwards: With LPG reforms, we moved from a planned Economy to market led one.
