A job interview is taking place with 21 male and 17 female candidates. Candidates are called randomly. What is the minimum number of candidates to be called to ensure that at least two males or two females have been interviewed ?

    It is saying either 2 males and 1 female or 2 females and 1 male can be interviewed either it will take 2 males and 1 female or 2 females and 1 male so in the two events we are getting at least 3 number of candidates to be called to ensure that at least two males or two females have been interviewed.
    So option (3) is correct.
