A population of proliferating cells is stained with a DNA binding fluorescence dye so that the amount of fluorescence is directly proportional to the quantity of DNA. Amount of DNA in each cel is measured by flow cytometry. The number of cells with a given DNA content is plotted and following statements were made: A B O Relative amount of DNA per cell (a) Peak A contains the cells of G1 phase (b) Peak B contains the cells of G2 phase (c) Peak A contains the cells of G2 phase Peak B contains the cells of G1 phase (B) (d) (A) (a) and (b) (c) and (d) (C) (b) and (d) (D) (a) and (c)

A at G2 and B at G1 because between both stages S phase is present, during which DNA get multiplied so the cells present at G2 phase emits twice fluorescence tha cells at G1 phase. for more imagination first clear the process of Cell Cytometry.
