The minimum and basic qualification for someone to get an Assistant Professor post anywhere in India is to have a Master's degree with at least 55% marks without rolling off. And then you should have qualified NET exam in the particular subject in which you have done your Master's degree. After clearing UGC-NET exam one is eligible for applying as a lecturer in any collage affiliated with any of the university recognised by UGC in India. For government college you have to apply when application are started by government of particular state.

Apply to a college where there are vacancies for lectureship. it might be possible that there are no ready permanent position there and you have to teach on a temporary basis. still continue with that. start with phd , find a guide and a topic related to your net degree.
