The study was based on five groups Pre-Post Randomised Matched Design. After Pre-tests, the experiments on different methods were conducted followed by Post-test on creativity. Analysis of data through ANCOVA and 't' test found that the group of students who were taught science using various experimental methods : brainstorming, problem-solving, project and quiz gained significantly in their individual and composite creativity scores as compared to the group of students taught through traditional method. Brainstorming proved most effective in developing creative thinking in comparison to the use of project, quiz or problem solving activities in teaching.
