Option A is the correct option. Let me explain step by step . First we have to omit C as the wave function cannot be the same in two different potantials . Now for B check that there is a discontiunuity at x=a which is not expected from a good and well behaved wave function. So we do not have to consider B also. Now we are left with A and D, among these two ,check that the probability density for D is finite at x=b . But this cannot be the situation since for x>b we have an infinite potential well which a wavefunction can neither surmount nor tunnel through it. So considering all those facts we are left with option A.
