Applications are invited for the post of Junior Project Staff for a research project sponsored by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) funded project undertaken at the Zoological Survey of India,West Bengal, India.
Project Entitled - "Assessment of Egg Parasitoid - Host Associations in the Cultivated Landscapes of West Bengal, through DNA Metabarcoding and Rearing, with Special Focus on Scelionidae (Hymenoptera: Insecta) ".
? Number of Positions - 01 for Junior Research Fellow.
? Essential Qualifications - M. Sc. in Zoology/ Entomology/ Life Sciences/or equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University.
? Desirable Qualification -
- Relevant research experience in Zoology, taxonomy, GIS and molecular biology techniques, like DNA isolation, PCR amplificaton and also phylogenetic studies.
- Experience in field survey and field photography.
- Knowledge of local language (Bengali) desirable – since interaction with farmers and local people is essential.
? Emoluments - Fellowship will be as per the SERB rules and regulations.
