Ation (i) inner orbital complexes ico(nh,),p 3d 4s 4p 3d 4s94p co atom co2 ion co ion in [co(nh,),j3 11 1 1 x [co(nh,),j n = 1 d'sp

In this n=1 is given, which means the compound is paramagnetic.. But in the given compound Co gets paired with Nh3(strong field ligand) so it has to be diamagetic... please explain it how n=1 came..

here 7 electrons are present in d orbitals due to strong field ligand 6 electrons are paired and remaining 1e get excited and transfer into 4d orbital so it is paramagnetic due to presence of 1 unpaired e

But sir in the complex Co+3 is given so we will consider magnetic moment of Co+3

    not of Co+2

i think question has printing mistake if it is Co+2 then it is paramagnetic otherwise it is diamagnetic in +3 form
