have you started with the new topics ??

    eduncle-logo-app

Yes Sir, I have prepared some of the new topics. But I am still a bit confused about the syllabus. Just to clarify once again - these are excluded: Commonwealth lit, American, European, Indian aesthetics, rhetoric and prosody, literary terms.

But, do we have to study contemporary fiction and poetry? If so, is it confined to British and Indian authors only? And what about literature in translation, especially Indian authors like Mahasweta Devi, Manto or Munsi Premchand?

    eduncle-logo-app

My perception from the last exam is that don't exclude anything, but concentrate on the new topics throroughly such as INDIAN ENGLISH STUDIES, LINGUISTICS, CULTURAL STUDIES, RESEARSH METHODS

    eduncle-logo-app

Indian writing in translation by proxy comes under Indian English, so it's included

    eduncle-logo-app

Thank you Sir, this is very helpful.

    eduncle-logo-app

theoretically they are not there in syllabus.

    eduncle-logo-app

But do questions come from these areas? And what about these topics - Indian lit in translation, contemporary fiction and poetry?

    eduncle-logo-app

a working knowledge of the same will do. concentrate on New topics

    eduncle-logo-app

don't get confused. do what is in syllabus first. follow the norms of prepration accordingly
