There is no fix weightage of marks for each chapter/unit in CSIR NET. Although, there are certain topics which cover up majority of question paper and can ensure your selection: 1. Classical Mechanics 2. Mathematical Physics 3. Quantum Mechanics 4. Electromagnetism 5. Solid State Physics focus on these particular units and I would strongly advise not to study classical and quantum simultaneously as it may confuse you in paper. also, for selection, focus on General aptitude paper as it is relatively easy and scoring. best
