    Greetings!

    Follow the below steps for solution - 
    72 / 2 = 36 with 0 remainder
    36 / 2 = 18 with 0 remainder
    18 / 2 = 9 with 0 remainder
    9 / 2 = 4 with 1 remainder
    4 / 2 = 2 with 0 remainder
    2 / 2 = 1 with 0 remainder
    1 / 2 = 0 with 1 remainder

    Then, when we put the remainders together in reverse order, we get the answer. The decimal number 72 converted to binary is therefore:

    1001000
