constant comparison comes under - qualitative data analysis. qualitative Data Analysis(QDA)- is the range of processes and procedures whereby we move from the qualitative data that have been collected into some form of explanation, understanding or interpretation of the people and situations we are investigating. Qualitative data analysis includes 3 components. 1- Data Reduction and Classification 2- Analytical Induction and constant comparison. 3- Concept of Triangulation 1- Data reduction and classification - refers to the process of selecting, focusing, simplifying, abstracting, and transforming that appear in written up field notes or transcriptions. Data collect and reduce in the terms of meaningful terms. 2- Analytical Induction and constant comparison - Analytical induction is a way of building explanations in qualitative analysis by constructing and testing a set of causal links between events, actions & so on. It is research logic used to collect, develop analysis and organise the presentation of research findings *it refers to a systematic and exhaustive examination of a limited number of cases in order to provide generalisation and identify similarities between various social phenomena in order to develop contacts or ideas. 3-concept of triangulation - triangulation is collecting data over different times or from different sources. the process involves evidence from different sources on a theme or perspective. example..-- Constant Comparative Method- grounded theory. The goal of the grounded theory approach is to generate theories that explain how some aspects of the social world works. The goal is to develop a theory that emerges from and is therefore connected to the reality the theory is developed to explain. The constant comparative method is a method for analyzing data in order to develop a grounded theory. process includes- 1- identifying phenomenon , object, event or setting of interest 2- identifying a local concepts, principles, structural or process features of the experiences of interest 3- making decision regarding initial collection of data, further data collection cannot be planned in advanced of analysis and the emergence of theory.
