    he therefore defines "objective correlative as "... a set of objects, a situation, a chain of events which shall be the formula of that particular emotion.’ for example often in movies it is seen that to show the anger of the hero, thunderstorm is shown. the thunderstorm is the objective corelative for the mental state of the hero.

    the inner turmoils of a character cannot be presented on stage , so objective corelative needs to be found out to represent those emotions, feelings and turmoils so that the audience can understand the nature and depth of the emotion or the feelings. otherwise it becomes diificult for the audience to understand it.
