Ethyne (HCCH) does not show IR absorption in the region 2000 -2500 cm because: (a) C-H stretches occur at lower energies.     option C To show ir spectra, change in the dipole moment is must. In the region 2000- 2500 cm- if IR spectra not shown mean there is no change in the dipole moment in this region.
