Getting cut off mark is enough or being in 6% top list is must?

hi sir.. i have scored 43.33 % in ugc net computer science.. the cut off is 44%.. i have a doubt that, if iam scoring 44% mark, then u would have cleared net exam .. or i should be in 6% merit list.. after getting cut off mark also, is it necessary to be in 6% list..or only getting cut off is enough..pls guide me sir.. im so confused..

    hii... gud luck for the June 2020.. the selection procedure for net/jrf .. Step 1:- The candidate belonging to general categories needs to secure atleast 40% aggregate in both papers and for other reserved category atleast 35% agg. in both papers.. Step 2:- The no. of categories who qualify for the assistant professor should be equal to 6% of the total candidate appeared in both slots. Similarly, the no. of candidates who qualify for the award of JRF should be equal to 1%(appx) of the total candidate appeared in both papers.. you have to clear cut off and also being in 6%.. both need to qualify the exam.. I hope you got it..😊
