I am starting preparation for csir net physical science...but i dont know how to start ....can you please give tips on important topics of classical mechanics or how yo start it

    Before go to classical mechanics first see basics of mechanics from the DS mathure like problems from friction,rigid body dynamics, Moment of inertia, Conservation laws( linear momentum, angular momentum, energy conservation), problem of collision, Relativity. After that jump to classical mechanics only JC uphadhyay book is enough for CSIR Net but you can see also Goldstein and Gupta kumar Sharma. topics are following in serial to start: Lagrangian Mechanics ( each topic like degree of freedom Lagrangian equation of motion, constraints ) Hamiltonian Mechanics Poisson Bracket Canonical transformation Central force In last you can see phase space aur you can see this topic in statistical mechanics
