If a DNA polymerase follows an RNA polymerase on a template DNA in E. coli cell during replication and transcription occurring at the same time in the same direction, which of the following is a possibility? (A) DNA polymerase will collide with the RNA polymerase and stop The RNA will pair with the template DNA and stop both DNA polymerase and RNA (B) polymerase Ribosomes will bind to the RNA and stop DNA polymerase (C) DNA polymerase will use the new RNA as primer and continue further Explain.

    A. In E. coli, the replisome moves 15 to 30 times faster than transcription complexes and the replication machinery can also rear-end RNA polymerases. In general, the replisome is given priority and RNAP are displaced after they will collide.
