    Cl used as 1e or 2e donor never 3e donor... in neutral method Cl is 1 e donor and jn charge method 2 e donor... the picture will help you

    sir, but the answer given was c. i do not understand when to put the electron count as 3 and when to put 1 for Cl. Kindly explain.

    in Cl electron count is either 1 or 2. If you use neutral method 1 elecron for Cl and if Charge method then 2 elecron for Cl
