    COMEDY OF MANNERS usually have intricate plot. in thr play, MARLOW is made to beileve that HARDCASTLE'S house is an inn. this gives the chance to KATE to pose as a barmaid and servant to win the heart of MARLOW. SHE in the title of the play is KATE and she poses as a servant (which is stooping) from her class, to win Marlow's love for her.
