    (a)    Parsimony is the idea that, given a set of possible explanations, the simplest explanation is the most likely to be correct.
    (b)    Empiricism is the theory that the origin of all knowledge is sense experience. It emphasizes the role of experience and evidence, especially sensory perception, in the formation of ideas, and argues that the only knowledge humans can have is a posteriori (i.e. based on experience).
    (c)    Precision is how close two or more measurements are to each other. If you consistently measure your height as 5’03  with a yardstick, your measurements are precise.
    (d)    In terms of research, objectivity means eliminating a bias. There is a truth behind your research in which your goal is to uncover. In order to obtain accurate and reliable results, you must remain objective, and focus on carrying out your studies without manipulating your methods to find a specific outcome.
