in question there should be 30 hrs instead of 30 minutes. Now, with the LCM technique we know that rings bell simultaneously (together) after every interval of 2 hours. That means in every 2hrs, they ring together. Hence, in 30 hrs no. of times they ring = 30/2= 15 (simple unitary method) Since, at t=0 (initial time) they rang together. So, adding it to 15, we get total 15+1= 16 Here, there is no need of any formula...
