Time taken by cyclist is =5/10 hrs.(using formula time= Distance /speed) =0.5hrs I.e. 30 mins Therefore total time taken by motorist is (30+30+20=80 mins) 1st 30mins- he left 30 mins before Cyclist. 2nd 30mins- Time taken by cyclist 20 mins -He reaches 20 mins after Cyclist Therefore Speed of motorist = Distance/time Converting time into hrs =80/60=1.33hrs Speed of motorist =40/1.33 = 30 km/hr Answer is 30 km/hr
