Irving william oder of stability

is the order is correct? Ni2+ will be more stable than Cu2+...because Ni2+ has High CFSC value compared to Cu2+.but in the book..it had given that Ni2+ is less stable Than Cu2+..pls explain it

    yes, absolutely correct.. Cu2+ is more stable Zn2+ due to strong john teller effect

    you can't directly compair these Ions on the basis of CFSE because these series are based on many factors
