is PhD necessary for an assistant professor? I have cleared CSIR NET LS June 2020 with 28th rank. I want to become a professor but not willing to do a PhD. So, is it possible to get an assistant professor job with CSIR NET LS? also, the government rule says that for an assistant professor job student must have a PhD, is it true? please suggest to me some exams or ways to opt for an assistant professor job in a government college.
