Department of Geology, Sikkim University, Sikkim has invited Applications for the Post of Junior Research Fellow for DST Sponsored Research Project.

Project Entitled: "DST’s Centre Of Excellence On Water Resources, Cryosphere And Climate Change Studies”.

? Number of Positions - 03 for Junior Research Fellow

? Essential Qualifications -

1. Post Graduate Degree in Environmental Sciences/Glaciology/ Geophysics/Remote Sensing and GIS/Geo-informatics/Sciences/any other relevant disciplines
2. Preference will be given to NET/GATE or any national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc., IISER, etc

? Desirable Qualifications -  Experience in geophysical investigations, climate change studies, glacial studies, mathematical modeling, chemical analysis, remote sensing, and GIS software and data interpretation.

? Fellowship - 

1. Rs.31, 000.00 + 8% HRA per month for the first two years
2. Rs.35, 000.00 + 8% HRA for the third year onwards
