Linear algebra - is this intersection correct?

    In w1 and w2 the first element 'a' is same .That means the answer should be "their intersection = (a,0,0)" ?

    See, subspace (a,a,a) represents a line through origin while (a,0,0) represents X-axis...so their intersection will be origin(0,0,0)...

    yes , since w2 consists of those elements whose x,y,z coordinates are same.. and intersection is such a collection which satisfy property of both sets.
